New Year's Promise

It's been a really fun New Year around here at Savvy Bohème- we finished off 2011 with a whirlwind of shows and parties, showcasing our authentic, hand crafted body care products, our knowledge of why those beauties work so well, and our passion for aspiring to deliver customer service that is above reproach. But as soon as the year's clock struck midnight, we took a deep breath of thanksgiving and rest, and went underground for a few weeks. As we got caught up on our beauty rest, house keeping, and family snuggling, our brains were storming for the next Big Idea for Savvy Bohème's New Year. Many thoughts came to mind:
  • Hair pomade
  • Milk bath
  • Liquid Soap
  • Benefit Concert (oh, yeah! This one's coming!)
  • Demonstration videos
  • Perfumes and hyrosols
  • Deodorant
  • Household cleansers
  • Savvy Bohème National Tour (ok, ok- that one never came up, but we know a skin care product founder who's doing it, and we are chomping at the bits to race out into that due time...)
It's so exciting to have a part in the direction of an entire organization, and even more so to be the leader; it's a responsibility that I do not take lightly. As our team works toward the company's future, we tread deliberately, knowing that every step that we take can propel us into specific directions, good or bad. And so, as we choose which new products get made this year, and which products have to wait until I get a lot smarter (a hem...shampoo?!? conditioner?!?), you can be assured that we are creating, testing, and hoping to deliver the very best quality products, services, and events that YOU want to participate in. Just yesterday, our workday looked like this:  (Notice the goo in my was actually pretty good! These are the sacrifices that we are willing to make- we're martyrs like that. ;) As we speak (well, as I write this), we are gearing up for St. Valentine's Day, and for the LOVE that we will incite by our new products. This is what we did LAST YEAR... I can't tell ya what they are yet for two reasons: 1)We ain't done testing yet, and I have learned to not post my chickens before thay hatch (a hem, shampoo?!?! conditioner ?!?!) and 2) It's a SURPRISE! So, we are asking you to wait till Feb 1 to see what you are going to force your loved one to buy for you on That Special Day. I know I'm shopping for my forced token of love...Aaron will be happy to buy it for me, I am sure! ;) In the meantime, feast on this little piece of romantical literary drama (feel free to act it out as you read it- gives more meaning that way! And if you do, send me the video...) As a Perfume As a perfume doth remain In the folds where it hath lain, So the thought of you, remaining Deeply folded in my brain, Will not leave me: all things leave me: You remain. Other thoughts may come and go, Other moments I may know That shall waft me, in their going, As a breath blown to and fro, Fragrant memories: fragrant memories Come and go. Only thoughts of you remain In my heart where they have lain, Perfumed thoughts of you, remaining, A hid sweetness, in my brain. Others leave me: all things leave me: You remain. -Arthur Symons      *Don't worry, this piece is Public Domain....
